Reinstall SP2

I'm using Windows XP SP2. I tried to install Silverlight and Zune Software.
Installation process of Zune Software crashes in the beginning. Silverlight
setup said that I should get SP2 first. So I decide to download it. When I
try to install SP2 it says that I already have SP2 and if i want reinstall it
I should remove old first. But I dunno how to do it. What should I do?

Have you had SP2 all along? Or did you recently install it? Or did you
perhaps already have it but attempted to download/install it anyway?

When you do this:

Start | Run | (type) winver | OK,

what do you see?

I have had SP2 all along.
Event log message about zune software:
Faulting application zunesetup.exe, version 2.5.447.0, faulting module
zunesetup.exe, version 2.5.447.0, fault address 0x0000c2f1.

I assume you were aware you had SP2 all along. If this is the case, why
and how did you try to install it (again)?

Does your Zune software require Silverlight for some reason?

I don't use Silverlight, so I can't help you there. I suggest you visit
