OK.. IE6 seemed moderately predictable, IE7 a little less, but still
slightly sensible, but WTF is up with IE8? I can't figure what

we have 2 computers connected to a Netgear 834GT router. ( used to use a
Draytek 2600, had some problem ) Both machines have XP SP3, all updates ok.

having problems getting downloads from Windows Update.  Won't download the
files it enumerates.  BUT, i can individually install the updates if I
download them individually.  So, it's just when I try to do it via Windows

I think my kids changed a setting in IE because now, the toolbar with File,
Edit, View...is GONE, also gone is the bar with Add Favorites, Home, Page...
I think it might have happen when I tried to download IE8 and one of my kids
did something before it downloaded 100%.

I run IE5 with Windows 98se and every once in a while when I try to save a
web page I get the message, "unable to save to this location." Does anyone
know why this happens, or how to cure this problem?
