Hi, MSE has reported a virus, and ask me if I wanted to remove it. I told it to remote it, then it asked me to restart the computer. But after restart, it reports the same virus again. Do you know how can I jump out of this loop?

We have the ability to stop all pop-ups, but it seems now that you can't do anything on a site without temporarily allowing pop-ups? Why ? I have to temporarily allow so many that I think I should turn it off and

I need some clarification on enabling DEP on XP SP2 with IE 6 SP2. I have read that DEP can be enabled in IE 6 SP2 by opening Internet Explorer\Tools\Internet Options and then Advanced. Then click Enable memory protection. Enable memory protection is not listed as an option.

I'm using Vista with IE8. I regularly use Outlook Web Access to check my office emails. When I try to download attachments, e.g. an Excel XLSX file, it always saves as a ZIP file. This didn't happen with IE7 and it doesn't happen using Google Chrome, only with IE8.

I have an interesting dilemma maybe someone can figure out. I removed malware from a customer's XP Professional SP3 computer and I can start it and shut it down quickly, that is, within about 20-25 seconds for startup and about 10 seconds for shutdown.

In the aftermath of an infection, after deleting the file ave.exe from the user's profile, I discovered that a registry key is different if I log in as a different admin user than the one that was logged in when the infection happened.
