gmer.exe,  gmer.dll, gmer.sys, gmer.ini, gmer_uninstall.cmd files.

Trying to Make Sense of Strange Folder in C:\WINDOWS02 Jul 2008 11:33 GMT3
I have a very strange looking folder under my C:\WINDOWS folder, which if it
is not a trojan then it must be some kind of device driver install that went
very bad.   I would like help identifying what it might be.

There is some sort of infector going around that injects itself into the
boot sequence of XP that randomly names itself "base????32" (where the last
4 or 5 letters are random, but the first 4 are always base & the last 2 are
always 32) & causes the machine to fail on boot up ...
