After upgrade to V6, lost web shortcuts in favorites16 Jul 2003 09:21 GMT1
Hi, I am desperate for someone to throw some light on this
problem.  After upgrading to IE v6, I lost all of my
bookmarks located in the Imported Bookmarks folder.  They
are not in the recycle bin either.  HELP!

I have 2 computers in my home.  While trying to download a
peoplepc cd dialup it totaled one computer.  I can get
online using a different dialup but I can't get onto
internet explorer.  I have paid a fee to hp (my brand) for

It's 2 AM and I can't fix this, probably b/c I don't work
with computers.  Family's business computer keeps popping
up horrid porn/casino/other crap sites every time
internet exporer is started up.  Settings are medium high

When I add web sites to my favorites some of them have
pretty kool icons.  After I run for a while or shut down
and reboot the icons are changed to that piece of paper
with the IE icon.  I can go to favorites/right click/ click

Hi, I can't seem to be able to save attatchments they appear as
un-highlighted.
Also I 'm having difficulty in viewing web pages that I have been to on-line
while off-line.

Apologies for the cross posting but I'm in a mess and need help! I've just
done a repair install of XP (long story as to why but briefly was installing
N System works and accidentally clicked to install "go back". It wouldn't
let me cancel so it installed then I just got a blank ...

When I try to run setup, I get a message saying "setup was
unable to download info about available installation sites...."
It refers to proxy server settings (?)as wel as the
possibility that the server is busy and I shoul try again

I have heard that using the setup msi wrapper to deploy
IE6 SP1 through Active Directory is not free.  Can anyone
confirm if using that method has fees associated with it?

For some reason, MIE 6 is required by Quickbooks 2003. I
tried to install the program on the computer after
reinstalling Windows ME,but it gave me an error message
part of the way through and shut down. It will not install
