whenever i download a mpg or mpeg file, instead of the
file being saved in a folder for me to access later, the
download automatically launches windows media player and
plays the file.  how can i stop the automatic launching

I tried to install Macromedia Flash 6 from

but it fails to install.  I test the install at

I had to reinstall my IE and the only way I could was to
install from my ISP disc. I went through the process and
ran the IE5.5setup, restarted after and it does not show
up on my desktop or in programs, I do a search for

Everytime I start Windows 98 under one certain user (A

I am having the same problem as Dave S.  My general tab
under tools/options dissapeared and a some stupid search
engine showed up.
I reinstalled IE 6 and there still is no general tab.

I have got an intrusive download into my computer, it has
reset my homepage to it's site, and if I go into tools and
internet options to change it back, the only thing that
comes up is the page for changing my security options.  I

I up-graded to explorer 6 several weeks ago and have had
nothing but trouble since. Something called "global web
search" has taken over as my home page and I cannot get it
