I just resotred my computer and the search bar that I use on Internet explorer at yahoo.com. Is there any way to shut the function off that saves the things you type in so that past seraches come up. i really do like it too

I am noticing the past few days a problem with Explorer. It open to my home page fine, and will go to a few sites after that, but then it stops working. It appears to be querying and downloading but ends up timing out. No other system in the office is doing this and all my settings ...

Some pages that I try to look at tell me "your current security settings prohibit running active-x controls on this page, etc". The trouble is that in the security part I can't find where it says anything called "active-x". I know that probably sounds dumb but I don't know active-x ...

Is there any way to shut off the auto-disconnect function or extend it so that it doesn't shut my internet off when I am not using the internet for only twenty minutes?

I have Acrobat Reader 6 and Acrobat 5.0.5 on my computer. When I click on a .pdf file in IE, it opens Acrobat 5, when I would prefer to open Acrobat Reader 6. How can I tell IE to make that happen?
