following MS prompts to download latest security patch
results in the machine running as if it's downloading,  
but then displayin a white (blank) screen with a small MS
box logo in the upper left corner of the screen ???

Greetings,  I am sure this is a simple problem, but for
whatever reason, the IE Icon in Windows XP is gone.  
Despite it being enabled in the Customize Desktop, it
fails to exist on the desktop.  Is there an easy fix for

I hope someone can help.  I am switching from dial-up to
ADSL (zoomtown) and cannot get connectivity verification.
The Zoomtown people say that the modem is connected, but
my computer may be having "DNS issues".

I have IE 6.0.2800.1106.  I have set my, Display mixed
content" setting to be "Enabled".  I still get the error
message,
"This page contains both secure and nonsecure items.

I'm having the same problem as Frank of 9/12/2003. IE 6
sp1 keeps showing unable to install all components. Please
try again. I've tried from beginning and resuming, but no

Content advisor was enabled in a machine by a student and
don't know the password.  I know there is a registry entry

How do I open multiple sessions (two or more web pages/sites) at the same
time?  I thought there was an option which allows you to go to one website,
then open another window for another website and have both displayed in
separate windows.  I know I've done that with past versions ...

If I already have IE open, then using the RUN box or a
favorites reference REUSES the open browser window.  
HOWEVER, If I have no window already open, using the RUN
box or the favorites menu for the URL does not launch the

In IE under tools it is an "internet options" feature.
Under this feature I had 6 different tabs.
One of them "General" was used by me to clean my temp.
internet files, history, cookies.
