When I check the choices for the e-mail program, Yahoo e-

Hi, I have windows xp home and every time I try to
install the Internet explorer 6 sp1 update I get an error
message that a previous installation has pending work
requiring a reboot, that I need to restart the computer

I am running on the ME OS. During the install of IE6 my
virus software(McAfee)found a file it interpreted as
dangerous and suggested removing it. So like a blind
idiot...I did. I did write down the file name somewhere.

I had to reload windows on Win ME PC and am now getting back up to speed on
Windows Updates.  The first item is IE sp1.  Install has been running for 5
hours now and is stalled at 73%.  When I check the Close Program Dialogue
Box everything shows "running" and nothing is "not ...

but every time installing tools gets to 79% the instalation

My dad's computer has XP with IE6.0 (SP1).  For some
reason he is unable to access yahoo or google from the IE
browser.  He can go to any Microsoft website, CNN, etc.  
The problem occurs only with the above two websites.
