Is there any way you can keep your history from being set
to "0".  My kids don't want me to be able to see where
they have been on the internet. So no matter how many
times I set History to delete after 30 days, someone sets

I want to install IE6 on a friends PC, but she has a very
slow internet connection. I have managed to find directx
and the windows98 updates in the form where i can
download them cd with my fast connection and take them to

I cannot see my Address Bar in IE 6.
I know to use View - Toolbars - Address Bar or Right-
click the Toolbar and select -Address Bar_, but when I
do, it only shows the IE Globe with the text "Internet"

Ok so my brother has a pc with dialup connection, and he

Suddenly the Favorites display in the left-hand panel has
simply disappeared!  All of the other possible displays
there come up as normal in response to their toolbar
buttons, but 'Favorites' does not!  

Whenever I try to install IE6 SP1, the install never
completes?!  I get a message telling me that the software
is not XP approved (I am running XP Pro Edition) yet I am
downloading from the Microsoft the setup.exe website!

Anyone have this file?  It's the User's Rights Deployment feature for IE
6.0 - but I can't seem to find it anywhere.  Please let me know if you have
it or where I can get it.

I'm running WinXP Pro on a home system.  My account is set
up as the administator account.  I'm having 2 problems.
1) I can't access Tools>Internet Options, I have to go into
Internet Options from the Control Panel.  The error message

What registry key do I need to change in order for IE not
to ask or say that it is not the default browser and to
make it the default browser without the user seeing

I have no address bar so I cannot type in a web page

I installed some updates on my Home PC running Windows ME.
All of the sudden there is no general tab in Internet
Options...
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling internet Explorer,

I have IE 6 with SP1. I don't know what happend, but now
I don't have a "General Tab" under Tools.
I don't know if this new version just does not have a
General tab, or if I encountered a virus that has made it

I am running Win 2000 Pro, and when I try to upgrade to IE
6.0, it tells me "Setup was unable to install all of the
components.  Please close all applications and try running
setup again."

Does anyone know where I can get IE6sp1 as a complete download that I can
burn onto a CDR?
All I can find on Microsoft's web site is small <500k installer stub-file
