I don't know if I am in the right newsgroup. I want to stop those pesky pop up adds. I have a firewall and privacy etc. but the pop up contain sexually explicite invitations. I don't want my kids to even read the adds.

I am running Windows XP Professional. When I run the setup file and it completes the download from the download site, it fails to install past 17%. It comes up with the following message:

After downloading IE6 on my windows 2000 server and then installing IE6 service pack1 , and q822925 , q818529 hotfixes . when i restarted the system, i couldnt open the Add\Remove programs applett from the control panel.
