I do not have a home page.  When I click my shortcut on
my desktop for internet explorer all I get is a bunch of
advertisements no homepage.  If I close the
advertisements then my screen is blank, not even my

I have IE6 on W98 laptop. Trying to open Internet Options
to change a security setting. I can see the box open for a
split second then close with no message. I don't have a
popup stopper. Any ideas?

Hi, I have Windows '98 and I just installed IE 6.0 with
service pack 1 and all the critical updates. Now my
machine will not boot and I get an Explorer error message

can't change the security settings so I can download the
updates. Active X control prevents it. Tried everything
nothing works. Repair says IE can't be repaired because

favourites? After a while they change to an IE icon and
it gets confusing when they are all the same to pick out
