Two weeks ago I downloaded OE6 to "update OE5.....ever
since any attachment, pic, text message, etc. is deleted
with the message "OE removed access to the following
unsafe attachments in your mail".....how do I either stop

Does anyone know the command line options you can set to run a custom setup
that only downloads the install files for various platforms?

I am unable to lock in my home page which is CNN.  All
the proper steps are taken in the Options menu, but when
the computer is turned off and back on the following day,
Internet Explorer opens up with some unknown search

I have a similar problem to Dave.   My XP computer is
connected to a DSL Router.   Several times a day, when you
try to connect to the Internet, the Modem wants to dial.  
I have set it to "Never Dial a Connection" several times,

I was unable to open the attachment you sent me to
download the Nov. 2003  security patches.  I have my
security level on low.  What happened?

I downloaded 6.1 and now the attachments on my e-mail are grayed out.  How can I remedy thi

anytime i try to open explorer 5.5 or other programs i get
an error that says explorer caused an invalid page fault
in module FTAPP.DLL. anyone have any ideas how to fix

For some reason my coworker cannot open Word and Excel
files in IE. When selecting a file in the IE window, the
application is launched and the file opens in the
application window instead of the IE window as a plugin.

Is there a way to stop websites from changing my configuration?  I _LIKE_ my
status bar and want it displayed at all times.  I have a large screen and
like to know what is happening on my PC.
At the moment I have to kepp typing Alt-V, B to turn the status bar back on.

I was installing IE6 and somehow there was a password
installed on the content advisor. I didn't put it on
there and there wasn't a password previously, I am
clueless on how to disable it, and I cannot view any

When I re-install Windows(98) or install a newer version

Just today, I noticed a problem in starting Internet
Explorer 6.  It takes a very long time to start up (about
20-30 seconds).  After this, it appears to work normally.
