upgrade win2000 prof to winxp prof gives ie6 problems07 Nov 2003 13:24 GMT1
I upgrader from win2000 to winxp prof. Got the latest patches.
All went well except  that the ie6 behaves stange. I use it only for my
hotmail and for news. For popmail i use office 2003.
IE6 seems to hang when i check for posts. Also changing from one newsgroup

I am currently building a small Windows 2000 server test bed, and the
machines I'm using are not connected to the internet (not yet anyway).
I am also testing Norton AV corporate edition out on these machines, however

we are trying to download word templates we are getting a
error that cookies are disabled we followed all

I believe I have some corrupted files in IE6 so I want to
repair/reinstall.  I have followed the details in base
article 318378, method 2.  I have completed the registry

When I put the CD in it tells me that I must go to
www.microsoft.com/ie for some sort of a pak in order to
make the new download into my computer.  So when I go to

selected the "always as before..." check box. Any idea
