I recently had the problem of not having the ability to
change my home page.  I restored to an earlier date using
System Restore.  The problem seems to be fixed; but is it?

After running Windows Update on ME for the first time I
downloaded 19 critical updates at once. Even after
multiple reboots, I couldn't later install IE6 full
because it failed at 76%.  When I try to run it again it

my default homepage was overridden, and now i cannot
change my homepage, by either manually typing in a
different web address, using current page, or by clicking
on default (new web page is default). how do i fix this?

As several others have reported, I too am unable to
delete/change an unwanted homepage...I am plagued by globe-
finder.net.  Any help would be great.  Thanks.

How can I delete, or permanently close, the search
toolbar. I don't want to use it. Every time I right click
and close it, it reopens itself again.

when i am in the safe mode, i could use the internet
explorer but when i use the normal mode, i can't get on

I have just recently been locked out of my internet
options in IE.  It says I don't have administrative
rights.  I am using XP home.  My home page is now "blank"
and I didn't do it.  I suspect spyware but how do I fix it?

I accidentally opened an email, which should be deleted.  
The problem is when I start my computer, the default (I do
not want) web start.  It also causes my home page address

I can't create an Outlook Express Icon in my Desktop.It
looks like it was erased from explorer 6.
I looked in "programs" after "start" and there is nothing

I use a dial up connection for work and I use dsl for the
internet.  If I dialin first then the internet connection
tries to use the modem to connect to the internet.  If I
connect to the internet first then the dialup connection
