Hi, I'm trying to create a customised intallation of IE6
for our corporate desktop (Windows 2000 Pro).
I do not want an IE or OE icon in the QuickLaunch or
Start/Programs locations... only an IE shortcut on the

Problem may stem from XP/SP1 re-install (I see others with similar issues)
1. Update fails with above error and "Cannot display requested page
2. I fail SSL test (stanford link on MVP dandemar page

I get an error on all pages requiring JAVA enabled.  I have enabled JAVA in IE6 bun't still won't run.  I want to try to install the SP1 but when I do I get an error  "detected a newer version of IE, unable to install
