I'm connected to the Internet via a ISDN-Modem. When I

Something has downloaded itself from the internet and is

i have a system (win98) that in normal mode cannot have any folders opened
up.  and they all blame inetexplorer.
when i first try to open up any window (folder, or internet explorer) i
first get a msg that says:

How do I delete the history from the address bar?  I
have "Cleared History" which works for the history folder
but not for the address bar.  I have also tried hitting
the delete key but that does not work also.

My home page keeps resetting to C:\searchpage.html
Any ideas. I've seen several replies to similar problems
