My daughter is attempting to run her computer from
residence at a community college.  She was told all she
had to do was plug in her ethernet cable and it should
run.  This is not happening.  She can open up explorer

After removing AOL from my window 2000, which used their
version of IE6, can't connect to internet!  Trys to
launch AOL IE6 and then get error message about can't
connect to internet.  Help?  

Just a quick post to tell people about a quick fix the "dns error" in
windows XP.
I had tried all the "cache" fixes with no joy. However this one works
with no need to reboot or reconnect.

A while back ago, I used AT&T for my ISP.  It installed
a "customized" version of IE 5.  When I upgraded to IE 6,
the customized version is still there.  I then went in and
un-installed IE 6 completely using add/remove programs.  

internet explorer keeps coming up saying that internet
explorer has encountered a problem and needs to reset the
page, it also tells me to send the error to internet
explorer which i do, but this is still going on now 2

i have an old laptop that cannot get on the internet.
i am trying to install a wirless adapter to link it to my network
the install asks for explorer5.5 or better
i copied explorer 6.0 install to a floppy and ran it on the laptop

Tools:  Internet Options:  Delete Cookies; Delete Files
(including delete offline content):  Clear History
But history is not getting deleted.  Any ideas?  Please

I have Windows ME

My IE 6 has no proxy set yet it use cache:8080 when connecting to Windows  
update.
Does anyone know how to by-pass this cache which prevent WU download to
