Corrupt IE 6.0? How to fix?09 Oct 2004 15:00 GMT1
I think it is corrupt somehow. I am virus clean from
several tests. Pop up blocker is off yet I could not even
post to this group because the window pops up and instantly
vanishes. The are other issues like Symantec and Mcafee web

I can connect to my internet service (NetZero) and
access/use my instant messanger accounts.  I just can not
open my Internet explorer window.  I deleted IE completly
out of my system and reloaded it using my Windows 2000

After some recent Win update the drop favorites only shows
a few bookmarks and a pop up bubbles says that I can turn
this feature off from the Internet Options.  I cna ont
find where in the Intnet Options I can turn this off from,

My computer recently shut down improperly.  When I restarted, I lost a bunch
of personal settings, and Explorer reverted.  This was not such a big deal,
as I can painstakingly go back through and set it all back up...
However, my address bar is now inactive, or something.  ...

I have been trying to access Windows Updates on my
nephew's computer, but each time I visit the site I get

Is there a way I can download the entire IE6.1 SP1 for installation offline?
I have a friend whose PC only has a slow net connection, and is loathe to
upgrade IE6 using that - 25Mb roughly, it'd never get there!
I want to download the whole thing on my PC, stick it on a CD, and ...
