it for
but for a financial acct i accidently ok'd a fill-in and want to get rid of
it for that site alone

ON A WEB PAGE THAT I USE IT ALWAYS COMES UP WITH A DOWNLOAD OF FILE SECURITY
WARNING ASKING ME IF I WANT TO OPEN IT OR SAVE IT. I ALWAYS WANT TO OPEN IT.
IS THERE A WAY TO SPECIFY THIS IN THE SYSTEM SO THAT IT DOESN'T COME UP WITH
THE MESSAGE AND AUTOMATICALLY OPENS THIS FILE.

Does anyone have a problem reading the text on Microsoft's web site?  It is

I run XP Pro, SP2, IE 6.0.2800.xpsp2, 128 bit encryption, when I attempt to
go to the web site of www.galottery.com and www.home.bellsouth.net, I get

Running Windows XP on my notebook as well as my home PC, both with IE6.
Same problem on both computers....When I go through the Tool / Internet
Options / Clear History routine, I can go back and check history, only to
see that more time than not, nothing has been erased.  Then on ...

Are there some versions of IE6 that comes prepackaged with WinXP Pro that
lack the Java app installed?  I can get Java apps to work on some machines in
my office, but on others I have to install Sun's Java.  I can't find any
differences in the version numbers or security settings ...

After more searching, I did come across the possible reason for my Java issue
(new questions to follow).  I see that I must have SP1a, because I do NOT
have MS VM installed on my computer.  This was a surprise I wish we would
have heard more about.

How do I change the settings to turn off or on my recently visited websites
