I have a windows XP home machine and just ran windows updates. The version of internet explorer on my machine now is 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.040919-10031S Now, everytime I go to the windows update site, I get an error on the page. I have tried everything and no go....

I get the following error message when I try to install internet explorer: "A previous installation has pending work requiring a reboot." Presumably some operation was terminated mid installation and wonderful XP is still looking 6 months later....
