I am having problems with internet explorer SP1. I use msn9 for dialup
internet at home.
I am using XP profrofessional SP1.
I had a virus on my computer and it corrupted internet explorer.

I have IE6 on Windows XP. I can't shutoff popup blocker for my local
html files, which use CSS and Java scripts. IE always recognizes it as
an Active contents and popup blockers pops up every time I access local
html files.

I have downloaded IE 6 Service Pack as I was asked to upgrade from IE5 to
IE6.  I use ME and upon trying to install the installation process just seems
to freeze.  Nothing else seems to be disrupted except for IE6 installation.  

I am using IE with a dial-up into Earthlink. I have configure IE to
automatically dial-up when opening IE if no connection is present. However,
persistently a 15-digit password appears in the appropriate dialog box. The
same password appears under IE tools - internet options - ...

How can I get IE6 to change the default image file type from BMP to JPG???

Suddenly I can no longer download a GIF file. If I locate one on a webpage
and try a SaveAs all I am offered is Bitmap type. Is this a security
setting? How can I override? I am using Win XP Home with SP2
