I am running windows me. My ie6 is corrupted and will not connect to the internet. I tried to copy the download from another computer, but when I open the ie6 download it says I need an internet connection to complete. How do I get a clean copy of ie6 on my computer?

I have set up a .htpasswd protected directory on my website that asks the user for User Name and Password before displaying the contents. The system works fine for most Internet Explorer settings. There is one IE setting where the .htpasswd system is not working.
