Before I reformatted my HD I used IE 6 favourites export to save my
favourites.  I have now tried to re-install them from my CD.  I now have a
message "You do not have permission to save this directory, see
Administrator".  I thought I was the Administrator.

when I type "www.someurl.com" into the location bar, IE changes the
locaiton bar to "C:\Documents and
Settings\.....\Desktop\www.someurl.com" and displays a "Page not found"
message.

I have IE6 and Mozilla Firefox installed on my computer.  When i installed
Firefox, it seems to have declared itself the default browser. Is there a
simple way to make either the default browser.

I thought to make the browser window to fit your screen, you had to manually resize, then
close off so that next time the window opens, it opens to that size. It is not working for
me and every window still opens very small and is a pain!

I am having problems with my mouse.  This has only begun today. It moves
ONLY and a straight line up and down but NOT the tiniest bit to the left or
right.
I have done the following

   Whenever I click a link that opens a new window I have to "stop" the
browser (the new browser), and then click refresh to load the page. This was
fine until recently, I was trying to do some online shopping and when the
product is linked to 3rd party seller opening a new link ...

Background colors don't appear in web pages.  Please help!

I constantly get this message whenever I am using IE. I am on IE6. I willbe
at a site and all over the page I get thes areas showing up with the above
message where the picture or advertisement should be. This is very annoying,

How can I transfer my favorites list from one computer to another ?  Using

I 'm disable ActiveX download option.
because I don't want to auto install any ActiveX.
IE always popup a window say
"this page need ActiceX".

I'm using IE6 on an XPSP2 system.  (fully updated with critical patches).  I

I'm having a problem with the History folder.  It seems to be clearing
itself out much more frequently than every 10 days, which is the setting I

Sometimes when I try to open a web page all that happens is that I get the
phrase "javascript:;" in the bottom left hand of my screen and the web page
doesn't open. anybody help me understand what's happening here?

Updates were automatically installed on my computer. I'm now having a
problem with IE.
When I click on IE, it opens and all is fine but when I open a new IE
window, the original window dies or closes.
