One of my computers at one time had the Google Toolbar installed. After
uninstalling it, if you click on the Search button in the IE6 toolbar, the

I have picked up an Automatic configuration script, which does not allow me
to connect to the internet, when i delete it or change the settings to
Automaticaly Detect Settings the i am unable to retain the settings.

I have 2 computers - both run XP SP2 and IE6 Version 6.0.2900.2180...
On one of them I can open multiple instances of IE6 (which is quite handy as
it allows me to look at pages within pages, etc.), on the other I can open
only one instance.  I have compared security settings, etc. ...

Is there any way to uninstall and reinstall IE6 in windows XP pro?

I keep running into this issue all across the network recently where I try
and update IE. It gives me the message
"This update requires Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 to be installed"

Is there anything that will scan my setup and tell me what's wrong with my
java setup. The one on their website only tells me that something is wrong
but not what.

I have changed the white background colour of Windows to a very pale blue
(just a hint of blue) as this is much easier on my eyes when spending long
