When I used IE6 on my old Windows 98 PC, I could right click in a webpage
and there were two very useful features - one that allowed me to list images
on the page, and one that listed links on the page.  Now that I am using
Windows XP Media Centre 2005 with IE6 these features ...

That's my problem.  I exported my favorites from a Win 2000 machine but
cannot import them on my new Win XP (home) machine.  I get an error saying
that "Not a valid bookmark."
HELP!!!???

I get the "send error report" msg 10x a day for IE 6.0.  I use XP with
serv p2,   the top 2 lines show what is on it.

Problem.......I had a IE icon on the taskbar lower left corner
(near start) and one IE icon on the desktop.

I use IE to download Windows updates. I wanted to add the Microsoft update
site to my list of trusted sites. Here's what I did:
1) Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites
2) Type the URL for the update site. Click Add.

i downloaded the first beta for ie7, and liked it very much. however, i was
forced to reformat the whole computer just because ie7 doesn't uninstall.
does anyone know if it finally comes with one before i mess my box up?

I have looked and looked and can't figure out to change or remove a sound.
It happens on occasion when I move from one webpage to another.  It is the
sound of creaking door closing.  I looked under the sound scheme and under
internet options, but can't find it.

how do I get directly to my OE 6.0 Inbox when I click on the OE icon on my
desktop?

I had a working IE6 (since XP Pro was released) and then (yesterday) an
XP Pro update installed.
Now IE6 sits there with a white page area and an animating logo and
nothing happens. Does't time out or error, just sits there.

I use VersionTracker and ran a scan to find there is a new version of IE (7b3)
. I however have problems installing it. It'll get to 99% and then say:
Internet Explorer 7 could not be installed. You must restart your system to
confirm that any changes to your system are undone.

I've tried Norton remedy, changing my internet options, etc.  Nothing lets me
change my home page from MSN.

I have two related issues.  First I wish to re-install IE6 to a fresh
install in order to eradicate the branding name that shows up.
Second, I had been using the IE7 Beta 3.  My Favorites will no longer
display when I click on the Star icon.  They are present, just not showing

I use Outlook Express for e-mail, but preview and delete many messages off
the Earthlink server using their webmail program. I have a new PC and even
though I delete an e-mail using webmail, the deleted e-mails still download
into Outlook Express when I open it.

Having this option checked in Internet Options|Advanced always worked
for me.  Now it isn't working anymore.  I can clear it using 'Delete
Files' in Internet Options as well as with any number of 3rd party
programs.
