My problem: my page has a select box. When the user selects an item, a div
appears with a text input. The input has an ID value, and the value of the
selected option gets stored in a variable. The command
getElementById('inputID').focus() puts the text pointer in the input

I'm using windows vista home premium.  Internet Explorer 7 keeps closing and
then I receive a message saying problem is caused by Adobe Flash Player 9
and if I download it problem may be solved.
I have Flash 9 anyway and have downloaded it twice but same problem.  Any

keeps wanting to close......is there a fix for this Thanks Tam

win xp user having 2 user accounts. both using IE7, the first account is ok,
but in 2nd account, IE7 becomes blank everytime i open. tried to visit
various websites but still remain blank. the problem persisted even after
creating a new 3rd account.

Internet Explorer does not work on my new PC, and only opened on the first
day I had the machine. I had not connected to the internet, so this cannot be
a virus/malware etc problem. Just in case, I ran various checks after reading
other posts and the system is clean.

Everytime I close a program or window an Internet Explorer 7 window pops up.
For example, I may be working in Word. After I close my files and the Word
program, the IE 7 windo opens automatically.
How can I stop this?

I saw an ad about a free laptop. It probably isn't real, but I tried the URL
in IE and it wouldn't go through.

Using IE7, when I try to view a RSS feed page all I see is code. This is on
every feed site that I go to. Weird? Anyone know what the problem is?

i am obviousy a complete moron and have utterly fasiled to get ie7 to work
lets see goto the adress bar type in www.msn.com press enter and wait and
wait and wait.
so where am i going wrong here?

On a regular basis, I delete my Browser History.  Recently, when I tried to
do this, a small window pops up like it is transfering files.  It says,
"Please wait while the browsing history is delelted.  Deleting history...".  
The problem is this, it just keeps RUNNING!!!  It never ...

I hate the status bar in IE7. How do I PERMANENTLY remove it from EVERY page
that I visit? Please let me in on your vast knowledge - my nerves are jaded.

can it be set to open right away in home page?

I have a problem with the page editing tools in Internet Explorer 6. The
problem is that Notepad is not listed under Tools > Internet Options >
Programs. Under HTML editor, all that is available is Microsoft FrontPage
