Ok, recently did some updating to my computer - clearing out old files, etc. All of a sudden, all of my husband's "stuff" isn't working. All IE related. For example, pages will only show in HTML with no active x controls, no pop up menus, etc.

I went to www.time.gov and IE7 blocked the unsigned activex control. So I went into security settings in options and chose "custom level." Then I changed "download unsigned activex controls" to prompt. I then refreshed time.gov and it asked me if I wanted to install the activex ...

This is new this month. When I am in eBay, instead of opening an auction page, it sends me to blockbuster.com or circuitcity.com or netflix.com etc. I have win 98 and IE6 SP1. Ran spyware programs and it is still there.
