Why has the key short cut for "search this page..." been removed from IE7 ?

Hello Guys!!!
I guess I am having a very common Problem i.e. whenever I try to close a
child webpage I get this message "the web page you are viewing is trying to
close the window" and I have to open so many child pages(for the website I

I have a customer who wanted me to set up an easy way for him to access his
domain web mail account.  I created a favorite in IE, and then moved a
shortcut of this favorite to the desktop.  The shortcut works just fine in
directing IE to that particular page.

The feed sync engine doesn't work anymore on my computer.
I could still update my feeds manually, but any scheduled/automatic update
fails.
The engine was working well until I updated BITS using the KB923845 hotfix.

I've no idea how this happened. Everything was normal one day and then it
wasn't. IE is no longer in with my quick launch items and it isn't on the
"all programs" list on the start menu either. If I look under "Program File"
on my C drive there is a folder for IE but there are ...

this has been going on for several weeks. when I open explorer usually it
will have windows internet explorer in top left, but now all it has is little
squares? Have I done something to cause this or what?

My address bar and my menu bar mysteriously switched places. My address bar
is now at the top of the page and I can't switch them back. I believe I have
IE7, but I'm not sure. How do I switch them back?

Has anyone any idea why, when i click an item on a website for example, an
item in a shop, the new window that opens goes behind the main browser window?
Its driving me crazy, its not 100% of the time either, e.g. this editing
window opened up on top fine.

Just recently on my Vista machine, the Windows Media Player ActiveX control
started causing certain pages that use it to take forever to load. I'm sure
it's that add-in because I disabled all of them and added them back in one by
one.

Just d/l and cannot see how to access my history!
