How can I switch off the Active X control messages every time I open a webpage? It is really annoying. I went into Security and disabled them but I still get them? Thanks

Isn't there a setting in ie7 to set the location of the Favorites folder? I couldn't seem to find it but I thought there was one. Any help will be appreciated, James

not sure if right forum if not apologies. somehow damaged shockwave player so when i go to adobe.co m and try to download Shockwave 10.1 i get so far, downloading and installing but it stops just after ive chosen the language settings and an error comes up -
