I was running IE 7 on an XP SP2 machine.  Tonight (6-14) I installed some
automatic updates for Windows, including the Cumulative Security Upgrade for
IE 7.0.

I can no longer add to my favorites folder. Everytime I try I keep getting an
"Unspecified Error" message.

Running XP SP2 with IE7 and now for the past two weeks I get some of my old
favorites are returning the subject error message.  When I re-do the favorite
it works fine.  Unpredictable as to what favorite will fail.

I ran the uninstall from the add/remove programs thing.  It now wants me to
locate the file vgx.dll for it to copy.  I have no clue where it is.  It says
to insert the "Windows NT service Pack Uninstall Directory" if necessary.

yesterday when my wife restarted our WinXP machine she got a message that
some file, (yes I know) was corrupt and after trying twice the machine
started to run chkdsk and deleted some files.
to make a long story short besides my favorites not showing up when I run

If I try to connect to my ISP using the IE icon in the quick launch bar, I
get an unable to resolve URL error message.
If I go to start "connect to" and click on earthlink, it will then bring up
the connetion window and let me dial in,

I updated to Windows Vista Bussiness from XP Pro.

i have problem with ie7, its come with vista.
i got some time disconnected from the explorer and its got restared again
spcially when i used microsoft outlook web access.

I am currently using vista with IE7. Prior to upgrading to vista I could save
files to an external hard drive. With vista it is telling me I do not have
the administrator rights although I am logged on as the administrator and
requires me to save the files to a temporary location ...
