Is there a way to type in Japanese characters in the American version of
Internet Explorer? I can type in Japanese in Microsoft Word but I don't know

I've just installed an updated HOSTS file in my Windows\system32\drivers\etc
folder and it no longer works, although it is definitely present in the
folder.

I installed my ISP's software for broadband connection as per their

I recall a long time ago I had some persistent script errors using IE
5 and one of the MVP's here were great in helping resolve the issue.
I cant recall what it involved but I know it involved deleting all
temp and temporary files as well as cookies.

pages very slowly. Firefox loads the exact same pages in about 25% of the

All of a sudden I can't add sites to my favorites. I can still see my
favorites list and all links work, just can't add any new ones as IE
complains quoting an "unspecified error". Again, can anyone help without

I am having problems when viewing certain sites, but I can't really isolate
the problem.... it seems mainly to be sites that are using a shockwave
plugin, I've tried to disable the plugin, which then flags up it is

Before I got my new computer, I backed up everything to disc.  Now I'm trying

Internet Explorer 7.0 & FavOrg 1.4 do not seem to be compatible, whereas IE
6 and FavOrg 1.4 were completely simpatico.
Is there a fix for this?
