Always enable scripted windows for a Web site?06 Jun 2007 21:02 GMT5
I want to know how to always enable scripted windows (JavaScript popups) for
a Web site.  When I hit a link for a Jscript popup, I get the Information Bar
asking if I want to "Temporariliy Allow Scripted Windows".  But I'd like to
allow them permanently.  The domain name is in my ...
IE706 Jun 2007 20:59 GMT1
I had IE6-upgraded to IE7.  I use Excite.com for my home page.  I didn't have
advertisements show up in my home page when using IE6 but when I upgraded to
IE7, wham-o!  Now I've got advertisements that blink, flash, move and do
whatever they feel like doing.  I'm not a high tech ...

IE7 and FTP Login Issues06 Jun 2007 20:43 GMT1
I too have the same question. When I logged into our work FTP with IE6, you
log in once and the folder view displays. IE7 makes me log in, it displays
in HTML format, you select "open FTP site in Windows Explorer," and it has me
log in again.
WinXP "Repair Install" with IE7 installed06 Jun 2007 20:35 GMT1
I know your suppose to uninstall IE7 first, but what if you
cannot boot in normal or safe mode.
Is there a way to manually  remove files (slaving the HD to another
XP machine) and remotely editing the registry to remove IE7 entries?

I have a friend who cannot connect to any anti-virus to do any online scan.

but the anti-virus site.  On some sites he can get to the home page but
cannot connect to any scans.  I believe he have some ...
IE 7 failure on repair install06 Jun 2007 18:53 GMT2
IE 7 failes to run properly when you do a repair installation. It hangs and
acts wierd. I guess this is because of IE 6 being on the CD and it overwrites
some essential files for IE 7.
This needs to be fixed. Maybe somehow through updates or a repair program

Does IE7 maintain an internal DNS cache?06 Jun 2007 16:54 GMT1
The article 263558 indicates that previous versions of IE did cache DNS host
entries, but there is no mention of IE7.
Does that mean IE7 doesn't have a seperate DNS cache, and is purely
dependant on the Wnidows DNS Client service? So if the DNS Client service
IE7 maximize bug in Vista!06 Jun 2007 16:42 GMT5
Microsoft please fix the IE7 maximize bug in Vista!
Even if I set IE7 to always open  maximized it never does. The only time it
opens  maximized is if it was  maximized when I closed it. If I happen to
close IE7 in Vista in a smaller window the next time I open IE7 will open in
A bug when using input type="text" and style="overflow: visible;"06 Jun 2007 16:11 GMT1
When using 'overflow: visible' to make an edit box resize as more text is
entered,  there appears to be a bug if you use foreign characters.  If only
English characters are entered the behavior is correct, however when using
Icelandic characters the control is not drawn correctly ...
Open in new Tab Command Doesn't Load Page06 Jun 2007 15:19 GMT2
This suddenly started happening, and I haven't installed anything into
IE 7 for awhile.  If I merely right click a link and select "Open Link
in New Tab", the new tab is created, the address bar is correct, but
the page never actually loads.  If I manually hit <Enter> in the
