I had IE6-upgraded to IE7. I use Excite.com for my home page. I didn't have advertisements show up in my home page when using IE6 but when I upgraded to IE7, wham-o! Now I've got advertisements that blink, flash, move and do whatever they feel like doing. I'm not a high tech ...

| IE7 and FTP Login Issues | 06 Jun 2007 20:43 GMT | 1 |
I too have the same question. When I logged into our work FTP with IE6, you log in once and the folder view displays. IE7 makes me log in, it displays in HTML format, you select "open FTP site in Windows Explorer," and it has me log in again.

I know your suppose to uninstall IE7 first, but what if you cannot boot in normal or safe mode. Is there a way to manually remove files (slaving the HD to another XP machine) and remotely editing the registry to remove IE7 entries?

| IE 7 failure on repair install | 06 Jun 2007 18:53 GMT | 2 |
IE 7 failes to run properly when you do a repair installation. It hangs and acts wierd. I guess this is because of IE 6 being on the CD and it overwrites some essential files for IE 7. This needs to be fixed. Maybe somehow through updates or a repair program

| Does IE7 maintain an internal DNS cache? | 06 Jun 2007 16:54 GMT | 1 |
The article 263558 indicates that previous versions of IE did cache DNS host entries, but there is no mention of IE7. Does that mean IE7 doesn't have a seperate DNS cache, and is purely dependant on the Wnidows DNS Client service? So if the DNS Client service

When using 'overflow: visible' to make an edit box resize as more text is entered, there appears to be a bug if you use foreign characters. If only English characters are entered the behavior is correct, however when using Icelandic characters the control is not drawn correctly ...
