I just downloaded & installed IE7. When I double-click  to open it, it never

I just got a new machine from Acer and it came with Vista Home Basic installed.

I have completed all the security updates.  I have restarted multiple times.  
I have scanned for malicious software.  I have defragged the system.  Still,
about every 3rd or 4th time, and then in multiples of two and three times, I
attempt to open IE7 and it comes up with a box ...

On one of the computers in my house, all setting are to keep IE history files
for over 30 days.  They are not being deleted by any of us BUT EVERY DAY OR

I've seen this issue mentioned sporadically before, but have not seen any

Something has caused my IE 7 to automatically delete browsing history and
temp interent files and cookies when I close the browser. Just as on would
expect if you select the option under the "Options/Advanced" tab. But it is
not selected. Any body experience this bug before or ...
