IE7 favorites in XP do not work - unspecified error19 Aug 2007 07:58 GMT2
When trying to save a favorite book mark I get a small dialog box that states
"unspecified error".  Happens with all websites.  have reloads IE7 to no
avail.
Aslo has noted all old favorite folders are gone.  when attempting to create
about:blank page and microsoft bar appears on left hand part of sc19 Aug 2007 06:50 GMT10
whenever I open a new web page, a blank window of about:blank comes up and a
new screen on the left of the web page opens as well.  How do I get rid of
this?  Its irritating, and I don't remember changing anything to do this, so
I don't know how to fix it.  Thanks.

I use P. Let automatic update install IE7. Wouldn't invoke. Tried to go
back to IE6. Don't know if I got there or not but wouldn't invoked.
Tried IE7 again, now gives me a Help screen when i tryu to invoke it.

Hard to use!!!! Much less friendly compared to XP. Why does MS come out a new
stuff that cannot compatible with XP?
Explore looks different, the familiar icons have been move around. The habit

A friend of mine sent me an email together wite zip file as an attachement.
When I right click the file name to save the file on my hard disk I get IE
error that says internet explorer cannot download {the name of the file} .

I have just set up my first network.  I'm using a router to connect 3 pc's
together.  I only have dial-up where I live so I'm NOT using my router to
connect to the Internet but rather using Internet Connection Sharing via my

I attempted to click on Tools, then Internet Options.   The error message is

If I upload pictures via IE (ver 7) to a site such as Facebook or Bebo, the
picture gets corrupted (it's visible on the site, but the content and colours
are scrambled). If I use e-mail via IE (hotmail or yahoo) and attach a word

I recently had to do a system recovery on my H/P with XP.In the process had
to  reinstall the updates. Internet Explorer failed ,yet seems to be working.
