During backup work the file FAVORITS disappeared from my laptop.
I put a copy of FAVORITS from an other PC on my laptop.
But no FAVORITS are shown although the file is there.
Who can help me with this problem?

I had a web page with a drop down list on it.  Sometimes users inadvertantly
change the value of the drop down list while trying to use the mouse wheel to

I found out today that IE7 takes in account proxy settings from my active
VPN connection and it does not take into consideration proxy settings of my
LAN connection.
What is the reason behind this?

When I connect to my office network, I am made to navigate all the way to
the proxy settings and activate proxy in IE.
But once I am home, have to again navigate to the proxy settings and
de-activate it.

Using Vista Ultimate ... Windows Media Player
Specifically .. Opening IE 7 to http://beethoven.com and then clicking on
"Play Live Radio" (Upper left), I get an error page "Internet Explorer
cannot display the webpage" and it gives the 3 "Most likely causes". All

With Windows Vista, when I shut down explorer, it locks up and will not
close. The view screen goes into a haze color and I eventually have to go
into task manager to shut down explorer. Also, explorer at other times just
shuts off by itself without any prompting then even ...

I am having a problem in that IE7 appears to be using DNS before the HOSTS
file
during name resolution.  This is backwards or opposite from how the system
(Windows XP) processes name resolution.

I'm using IE7.  When I right-click a History entry and select Properties to
view information about when the site was last visited it gives me the current
date and time not the date and time of when the site was last visited.  Is

has anyone tried to install ie7 along with hotfixes without a reboot in
between? we find the hotfixes won't install unless iexplore.exe has been
replace with 7.x, which happens only after a reboot. thanks.
