I've tried many times now to download IE7 and I keep getting the same error message. this is the error message : "Internet Explorer 7 could not be installed. You must restart your system to confirm that any changes to your system are undone.

Checked menu bar and was able to display permanently the menu bar for several months and now it has disappeared. The check mark is still there and will not uncheck. Other check marks like lock the toolbar will check and uncheck. ALT does not do anything.

I down loaded ie7 and a tool bar from comcast. I think I finally got rid of the toolbar but no matter what I change, delete or upgrade I sitll have "Windows internet explorer provided by Comcast". Is there any way to get rid of this short of reimaging my machine?

I was hoping this would be resolved by now after being assured by some Microsoft MVP's that their internal build of IE7 was working fine. Can anybody confirm this or offer helpful suggestions? If so, it would be appreciated. Thank you.
