I am using Vista basic with ie7.0 and unable to open any https sites.For ex https://www.myhcl.in any suggestions please.

When I click Start, and go to SEARCH, IE7 shuts down for about 15 seconds. I get a warning window-which if I close-IE7 shuts down. If I don't close the window, I can usually complete my search. After I close the warning window, as I said IE7 shuts down, then comes back.

I am trying to access secured (HTTPS) web sites and each time I try to log in the site says it experiences an unexpected error and has to close. I access unsecured web sites with out any issues

I need to keep a lot of tabs open while I work. The more tabs, the smaller the tabs are, the easier it is to accidently hit that X on the tab that closes the tab and tanks my work. I want to get rid of the X's on the tabs. I do not need them, they are redundant, and a nuisance. ...

Lately I've been getting a number of files ending _bogus[1] (as above) in C:\Documents and Settings\MyName\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\0A70TSU1. I did a quick google and they appear to be Word back up files.
