I am using Vista basic with ie7.0 and unable to open any https sites.For ex

When I click Start, and go to SEARCH, IE7 shuts down for about 15 seconds. I
get a warning window-which if I close-IE7 shuts down. If I don't close the
window, I can usually complete my search. After I close the warning window,
as I said IE7 shuts down, then comes back.

Once I updated to IE-7 I have to continually go to Internet Options and Un
check the Proxy settings that have somehow set themselves.  I never had this
problem with IE-6, nor do I have the problem with Mozilla Firefox.   Once I

Ok.  Lately, my Internet Explorer has begun shutting itself down within the
minute of me going to any other website than my homepage.  It displays a box
say "This program has stopped working, windows will attempt to restart it."  
Its been doing this for the last day and won't ...
