I have Windows xp pro with service pack 2, IE7. The problem is the system will reboot itself for no apparent reason. I've already did a system recovery to no avail. I also did complete system diagnostics and nothing seems to be wrong.

Went to the "My computer" tools tab and folder as you showed me and the HTM & HTML had the Firefox icon association. I changed it to Explorer but it didn't do any good. (There were also other extensions that had the Firefox file type)

I have set IE7 to ask me every time a site wants to set a cookie on my computer (running Windows XP SP 2): it doesn't work on one machine (it does on another one), cookies are automatically recorded in the Temporary Internet Files directory.

Choosing from favorites causes the program to open two browser windows. The program also opens two dial-up windows when trying to connect. Pulling data for double windows over dialup slows the data stream to the point of becoming unusable.
