If some kind soul running IE7 on XP Pro SP2 with NIS 2008 could try this
scenario,
I would be most greatful.  There's nothing hard or dangerous, just
observation...

Laptop running XP SP2 and IE7, all fully patched, wireless to hub.
Email and Newsgroup access perfectly normal, (in fact I am posting this from
the same machine) but IE7 tells me there's NO INTERNET CONNECTION and it
can't find the web page!

Months back, I didn't approve the Update Rollup for IE7 for XP on my WSUS
server.  Now, I'm ready to approve it and roll it out but it's telling me"The
selected update has expired and cannot be approved for installation or

Every time I try to enter an email address online for confirmation emails

Yesterday, 15th August, an auto-update was installed on my laptop. Upon
rebooting, I found that IE7 would not work. Whenever I attempt to connect I
am presented with a screen stating that there are problems with the
connection.

I can't access the page www.dodea.edu.  I have check my security protocals on
the internet options page.  I have tried navigating to the page indirectly,
nothing seems to work.  I did not have this problem with the previous version
of IE.  Do you have any suggestions.

Everytime i go to a website it contains the same information that it did the
last time that I was on it.  I must always refresh it maually.  I have been
through the internet options tabs but cannot find a way to change this.

I have tried installing Google.co.uk as my default search provider in the
search box, but after a day or so it reverts back to google.com. This
happens even if I leave or delete the google com address.
Is there any way of making co.uk stick?
