After installing Internet Explorer 7, and rebooting, you get a message at the welcome screen (i.e. before logging in): "The file or directory C:\$Secure is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility"

I have just installed IE7. The installation went OK but after restart once I run IE7 it comes up with the page title 'Customise your settings' but page is completely blank and it stays like that. What is the problem and how can I fix it?

I started receiving this eror after I installed Kaspersky Antivirus v.6. I have subsequently uninstalled this program and iperformed a reset under the advanced tab of Internet Options in Internet Explorer. But I am still geting same error mesage. Can anyone please help?

Already visited pages usually show up as magenta. This is really helpful when using sites like Google or Craigslist. But I'll click on a link and return to the original page, and the links I visited show the same color - blue- as the links I haven't.
