I've been noticing lately that the web sites I regularly visit haven't been
refreshing as they should.  As a matter of fact, today, I've been uploading
new pages to my web site yet when I try to view the results in IE7 to verify

This machine just had a fresh install of XPSP2 with IE6 and fully Windows
Updated.
Is there a hotfix?

I too have suddenly found that while I'm using IE7/XPProSP2, that when I surf
the yellow bar with it's security warning is no longer appearing as I
followed this advice froma search here...

IE just stoped working. Impossible to view pages at all. Other browsers are
working properly, but I should solve this problem with IE. May be it could be
caused by Vista? Settings reset also didn`t help.

this might seem as complete idiocy on my part but it seems in trying to match
the settings of my new pc with old one, this computer (the new one) doesn't
seem to have the adress bar pop down as I type stuff in. Before I thought it
didn't matter but it got really annoying really ...

Hi, we have just purchased a new Dell computer with Vista. It won't let us
connect to our broadband supplier, comes up with Error 815, have had the ISP
guy out & it's not a problem with the connection. When using Diagnose on
Vista says nothing wrong with computer, but we even ...

when I clicked some links in the web pages, unfortunately the IE 7.0
automaticly shut down by itself, sometime I had to try again and again to
find out what I need the information from these links.

On a certain webpage an excel file is offered as a download (actually,
it is dynamically generated and returned as the response). Until
yesterday IE would always ask whether you want to download or open the
file. Now this behaviour has changed. It now automatically opens the

This is supposed to display a check mark character.  It does so in Firefox 2.
In IE7 however, it displays two very faint lines where the left and right
edges of the character should be.  I've tried two different ways of making
this work.

Internet Explorer page will not close by using File > Close or clicking the
Close Button. To close have to use Ctrl-Alt-Delete, then get the dialog box
that says IE7 "Not Responding" and click End.

I recently installed the latest update of IE7 on my Win XP Home Edition, and
since then my Links toolbar will not launch from my Taskbar. Links items do
work from the IE browser toolbar, however.
I have searched through the forum and have not found an issue posted that

In reviewing the Add-ons in IE7, I see a number of Add-ons (Browser
Extensions), that do not list a Publisher.  They are;
- Express Cleanup
- Research

Using IE7 and Vista. I have Favorite folders with sub-folders in the
folders. Bare minimum of add-ons
If I access a Favorites folder and then subfolder to get to the desired URL,
I find the next time I try to access that same folder and subfolder
