I too am having issues with IE7 (7.0.5730.13) If there is a circumstance
(i.e. opening a new window, then closing it when I am done) I get the
"Internet Exporer has encountered a problem and needs to close", error msg,
on EVERY occasion; which means that I have to restart IE ...

I've just started having this random problem...
Sometimes, using IE7.0 - the first tab becomes forzen.
The other tabbed pages work ok, and can be closed, etc
but the first tab, and it's associated page is forzen - the browser is hung.

Has anyone seen this problem before? All web pages lock up and you need to
CTRL ALT DEL and restart IE7. No particular sites seem to trigger the
freeze...

Yes, it is no longer on the desktop after IE7 install.
Desktop Properties option checkbox for IE7 is not also present, but My
Computer, My Documents, and My Network Places.

I have a Thinkpad running Vista Business.  when you go to a web site
it says Connecting- Connecting - Connecting - Connecting.  Then
finally connects to the web site then takes forever to finish
downloading the content.
