I have a brand new Dell XPS Vista machine.  I am having a problem downloading
pdf files from SSL sites.  I have no problem downloading from non-SSL sites.

Since I got a new laptop with Vista on it, I cannot access the Jacksonville,
Florida city library website (jpl.coj.net), and have been having to drive to

My computer is corrupted and comes up with several critical error dialog
boxes that says Internet Explorer.exe on the title. After dismissing the last
error, the machine just hangs.
I would like to completely de-install IE 7.0 and re-install it again.

In IE7 i terribly miss a keyboard shortcut to "jump" to the Address field.
Like in IE6 it was simply "Ctrl-A".

I installed the upgrade.  My webpages wouldn't load - they would start, but
then everything would freeze up.  I uninstalled 7, but it still happens and I
can't get online.  What do I do to restore IE to the way it was?  I have XP.

I am currently using a Keyboard Macro program and all was well until I
downloaded I.E. 7.
When using IE6, I would be able to execute a macro from the same starting
point because it would NOT remember the last focused hyperlink. But now with

HELP!  OK... I know that many people are unhappy with IE7 and Vista...
however I have spent over 20 hours trying to figure this one out...
everything worked fine up until about the third week of December or so.  I

Every now and again IE7 freezes and requires a manual re-start of the system
- nothing is accessible.
This behaviour is not dependent on website or number of tabs (can be any
website and I can have just one tab opened).

I have a new Dell pre loaded with Vista and IE7, i was expecting a little
faster speed than my old XP. When I start up my 3 tabs I am locked up for 30+
seconds waiting for a response of the tabs being loaded.  When I click a

On some or most of my pages where I must interact by clicking the
appropriate box, I can not see the blocks or any wording.  sometimes I can
select and move down the page and the block might show then .  If there are

I use Xnews as my newsreader.
When I clink a "News:" link in IE7, it tries to open outlook express (which
seems to be considered the default newsreader, even though I leave that
section blank in the tools>internet options>programs>newsgroups dialogue

I do not typically post information to groups but this stupid IE6/IE7
png issue drove me insane.  I fixed it moments ago and thought I would
share so no one else considers rebuilding their PC for this irritating
issue.
