We have a problem with corrupt index.dat files. One of our main applications
runs very slowly until we delete the index.dat file.
Any ideas what could be causing this or how to remedy it without having to
delete the file?

I reset Internet Explorer 7 in response to troubleshooting directions. After
the reset, the printer preview shows many pages of formatting information
with reference to a *.htm file in the AppData\Local\Temp folder in the

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me.  
When I used Micosoft XP I could write a program using notepad and then save
it and open it in Explorer and it would run ok.
I am using Vista now and when I open the program in Explorer the page

why?
i tired checking and unchecking Autoselect. doesn't matter. it stays on
unicode.
