everytime i go to get on the computer the history is erased. having a 14 year

my  internet explorer is not working well. Any time is returning me the
message of error and restart  it self when i want to write a site address or
to close it.  

I am finding it impossible to enable tabbed browsing, which for some reason
decided to stop working.

I am having problems with IE7 crashing.  I'm getting an error message of "An
unhandled win32 exception occurred in iexplorer.exe[1024]".   When it
happens,  the only option is OK and that closes all windows.   Also my CPU
usage, jumps to 100%.
