When I try to add a search provider to IE7 (as a standard user in
Vista) I get the following message:
"The search provider could not be installed.
This might have happened because:

I'm using Windows Vista Business on my notebook.
Yesterday all browsers (IE7, Firefox) stopped working. I did nothing. I
didn't install or uninstall any software, didn't change any settings (but may
be windows installed some updates).

I haven´t been able to access the Internet for several hours using IE7, and
NO webpages work with IE7. I can use firefox, no problems, even tried
netscape, it works... I have visited the microsoft support site, tried what
is suggested there, and have restarted the computer, modem ...

every time i try to get the internet options up to delete my history etc it
pops up for one second then goes again and i cant access it through control
panel either, does anyone know how to help me plz? will be very grateful.

I just reinstalled IE 7.  When I tried saving a webpage to my favorites, I
noticed there was no "Links" folder in "favorites".  But there is a "Links"
toolbar (although it doesn't contain anything.)

files. Quicktime was the default viewer and when I click on a file in

I just installed IE7 and I notice that the "Delete" button is grayed out
(disabled) in the "Browsing History" submenu of "Internet Options" in the
Tools menu. Why is this, or, more importantly, how do I fix it?

My I.E. is crshing whenever I try to access certain websites, including my
college's Blackboard CE 6 site.  I am receiving the following message after
