I can't get rid of the customize settings page, I have my homepage set but

I had to reset internet explorer yesterday and now I can't get rid of this

all of a sudden when I am browsing and close a program everytime I get a
error box stating windows must close now and shuts down, any ideas as to why

Does any one have any idea about the problem that, if once I signed in
