Every time I click on the X to close a window in Internet Explorer 7, I get
the error message stating that Explorer has encountered a problem and must
close. I looked at the details of the error message and it is hundreds of
lines of gibberish. Once it came up as error code 504. ...

I have been using Internet Explorer 7.0 for a while.  My have 3 websites
that open as my "homepage".  One day just out of the blue, i started getting
a Windows Internet Explorer window error: stack overflow at line: 86 on one

I have posted about this before, but not found a solution. After having
browsed for a little while I start getting tabs just saying
"connection" when I either click on a link or try to create an empty
tab. These tabs are unresponsive, I stay on the previous tab when I try

I am unable to start IE 7 (Op system is Vista Ultimate 32 bit) unless I use
administrator mode
I just get a wonderful message box which says "Internet Explorer has stopped
working".  "A problem caused the program to stop working" Blindingly obvious

When opening a new tab, I have the blank page option. Can I have a default
home page for new tabs opened? It could be my home page or not, I just don't

I am posting this here since there is nowhere else suitable either. Recently
lightning has burned out my computer through a telephone broadband
connection to the computer. Is there something available to prevent another
such damage, as there is for electrical supply?

I run IE7 on XP and experience difficulties navigating between websites?
IE7 fires up ok and the initial 'window' works fine. However, if I try to
open a second 'window' (would normally come up blank) within the same IE7
session, the whole session locks up with 'Not responding'.

Is there any way I can save all of my settings (e.g. Security (custom),
Privacy, Advanced) to a file and restore them after doing something such as
reinstalling IE or Windows or transferring to another computer?

How do you remove annoying programs which self install and continue to nag
you to try or purchase their product?  I have Internet Explorer with all the
updates and use Nortons Systemworks plus Zone Alarm and yet I have a
pervasive ad which comes up and starts to scan my computer ...

Everytime I open IE on my notebook, I get an ERROR page..."ERROR the
requested URL could not be retreived" It happens with every url.
No recent software installed.
It's a wireless connection

i've also had the same problem with numerous web sites freezing, and then not
being able to close the window.  is this a vista problem?  and is it fixable?
