Suddenly a couple of days ago, when I click on a link to a Microsoft website, I am often routed to a Microsoft.fr webpage. This happens not only when I click on links at search sites such as Google, but also sometimes when I click on Favorite links to (formerly) MS.com us sites.

I have installed NewsProxy to filter my newsgroups, but it does not seem to do any filtering. Here's all the program data that I could put together. I am using Windows XP, with Outlook Express. The news server name is newsgroups.comcast.net.
