The slider in Internet Properties/Security Tab/ Restricted Sites  on my
'puter is set to High and the check-box for Enable Protected Mode is ticked,
but for some unknown reason if I look at these settings later ( I have no

I have a 3 week old installation of XP Home SP2 with IE7, nothing added.  I
used IE6 for years but I finally decided to give IE7 a try.  I found a lot
of old messages from Jan 2007 about the favicon bug, did anybody ever figure
out a solution?

On a default install of WinXP w/SP3, I'm seeing odd behavior from
IE6.  A contextual zoom feature was added to allow zooming in or out
on images.   When doing so the aspect ratio changes, zooming in makes
images wider than they should be, and zooming out makes them narrower

When I try to access GMAIL Account, I get
"Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site
"http://mail.google.com/mail/?hi=en&tab=wm.  Operation Aborted"
I am getting it for GMAIL only

Unable to access two dns locations.

After updating to SP3 IE 7 tabs will not open a second tab in the browser.
Also, after this happens the only way to close IE 7 is using task manager and
forcing iexplore.exe to close- suggestions?

okay, novice here. laptop with vista premium and about last month began
having trouble with pages loading on IE.  most of the time i get a "done but
with error"message below.  been working past it and using mozilla but some
applications and websites only allow IE.  so now getting ...

Some of the PC users in our offices neglect to periodically delete the
Internet Browser Temporary files.  I am looking for a way to have this
occurring automatically.

My system (XP Home, SP3) has been hogged, running slower and slower, even
after registry cleaner and defrag ( using  Compu Rx and all its elements)
and I read that IE 7.0 takes less memory and CPU than Firefox.
Had been using Firefox since I.E. 5.0.

When Downloading a large file on IE7 only part of file is downloadedeven
though  the download window indicates a complete download.  A search for
"Partial Download" in Knowledge Base brings up Q322827 which refers to IE 5.5
and only provides a developer solution.  It says:

Problem is IE7 will not access two sites (DNS is invalid) even though they
are active.

I have IE7 and on a very few sites I leave to go to other sites and the name
of this site stays on the tab and then the next site doesn't work right or
not at all.  If I click on the X in the right top corner the screen won't
close.  Sometimes I can get it to close but it takes ...

I need to restore farther than the 5 days allowed me any ideas or help?  And
if I can't any ideas on were to find step by step instructions on how to
formate? Never done it before.
